On December 26, as a result of contest of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation to provide subsidies for the implementation of the federal target program "Research and development in priority areas for the development of Russia's scientific and technological complex for 2014-2020" for the project: "Conducting research on selected priority areas with participation of research organizations and universities in Vietnam" application NIU MGSU "Development of new energy and resource technologies effective nanomodified composite materials for construction in the Pacific Ocean operating conditions based on regional raw materials of Russia and Vietnam" became the winner.

Taking into account the rating of the joint working group of international experts, the application submitted under the supervision of the Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor, Director of SEC NT Korolev E.V. and PhD, Assoc. prof., General Director of VIBM Luong Duc Long took first place out of 4 proposed subjects. Financing of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation within the framework of the competition is carried out for the period 2018-2020 and is 16.5 million rubles. At least 100% of the funding is attracted by a foreign partner - the Vietnam Institute of Building Materials, VIBM (Hanoi, Vietnam).
